As strange as it sounds, "fake news" is real.  I will show you how to detect fakes and why and how fakers fake.  From the dark web including 4Chan and 8chan to QAnon, False Flags and accusations of "crisis actors" we will navigate the minefields that make journalism more difficult than ever.
Come prepared to collect a ton of new ideas to teach this fall.  I will show you SPECIFIC examples of fakery.
